Powell handmade Conservatory flutes trace their ancestry to Mr. Powell’s first Commercial flute, made in 1928. The Conservatory model stands up to today’s stringent technical requirements and acoustical demands. The pinless mechanism offers smooth action, allowing technical passages to be played with precision. Played by professionals around the world, these instruments are prized for their colorful tone and dynamic range.
Created through the fusion of 9k rose gold and sterling silver, the Aurumite 9k gold flute features a .016” Aurumite headjoint, body, and footjoint with rose gold interior and silver exterior. Combined with a hand-cut headjoint, sterling silver mechanism, drawn tone holes, 10k gold springs, and pinless mechanism, this flute stands in a class of its own. Customizable options include choice of headjoint cut, split E mechanism, C# trill key, and D# roller.
