The Guo Musical Instruments Company had its humble beginnings in 1988. Although their handcrafted flutes initially featured minor alterations to the Boehm system, the company introduced a new flute in 2003, launching the company into innovative flute manufacturing and design. This initial step, which remains a hallmark of all GMIC flutes, was characterized by the exclusive use of computerized engineering for all aspects of instrument construction and design, enabling a level of consistency and reliability previously unattainable.
