Orders up to $24.99 will be charged $3.99 shipping & handling. Most orders ship within 24 hours (weekdays only); select instrument and mouthpiece product processing times may vary.
*Music stands and larger instrument stand orders under $24.99 will be charged $7.99.
When you get an instrument from Schmitt Music you can be confident it will arrive in perfect playing condition. Instrument orders undergo professional inspection and adjustment prior to being shipped; because of this instrument orders will ship within two business days.
We offer free shipping to the contiguous United States. Free shipping is not offered to Alaska, Hawaii, or international addresses. Please contact us for international shipping quotes.
Accessory orders over $50 will be upgraded to USPS Priority Mail for free. Orders under $50 may be upgraded to USPS Priority Mail for an additional $7.99 charge.
We require you to sign for all shipments that include instruments or mouthpieces. Accessories and print music items will be shipped via the United States Parcel Service Media Mail. Smaller accessory orders will ship via USPS First Class Mail. Larger orders will be shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Tracking numbers will be provided for all USPS, UPS, and FedEx shipments. If you have any special shipping requests, please leave them in the order comments.
In the event an item you order is backordered you will be contacted within 1 business day with a time frame for your order. You will be given the option to cancel your order if the time frame is unacceptable.
You may return most items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
Items over $8,500 or items marked as special order are not returnable because they are highly customized to the player's specifications. Your instrument purchase may be covered by the warranty offered from the manufacturer; this warranty is specific to the product and maker of your instrument. If you have an issue with an item which is not eligible for a return, we will work on your behalf with the manufacturer to resolve the issue.
You should expect to receive your refund within three weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (3 to 7 days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (2 to 4 days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
