The Eastman ETB848G bass trombone is another result of the collaboration between Eastman and S.E. Shires. Utilizing Shires designs the 848G features a 9 1/2" 2-piece gold brass bell, .562" bore handslide, yellow brass tuning slide and dual independent rotary valves as well as a custom Eastman case and three interchangeable leadpipes. Before the introduction of the 848G there were very few reliable bass trombone options under $3,500; the 848 offers an excellent intermediate bass trombone option at an approachable price.
