Stork Mouthpieces, originally located in New York and now based in Vermont, have been building custom mouthpieces for brass players for over 25 years and offers a wide variety of options for every player at an competitive price. Stork trombone mouthpieces are available in a wide range of cup widths as well as offering two different blank styles (light and heavy) and backbore sizes (standard and symphonic.)
Stork mouthpieces tend to have a conical cup shape, which moves the air into the throat and backbore quicker; we tend to find them to be a brighter option with more articulation and projection. Due to the cup shape classical players tend to prefer the symphonic backbore, which is more similar to a standard Bach backbore. The heavy blank adds mass and direction to the sound while the light blank has a quicker response and more lightness to the sound. Stork mouthpieces continue to be one of the most popular lines we carry in the shop!
