The Conn 62H became one of the favorite bass trombone options in the 1970's and continues to be popular choice for the player looking for a balance of playability and affordability. The 62HI features a .562" bore with a .592" bore through the valve section, providing a balanced response and centered tone, as well as a 9 1/2" two-piece rose brass bell and dual independent rotors. The Conn 62HI has the tradition Conn sound, a bit lighter but with a balanced warmth; the lower range responds quickly and the upper range, while the timbre becomes a bit thinner, remains clear and easy. Due to it's slide design and dual rotors the 62HI is a bit more resistant than other, more-open designs, and upper dynamics can get bright and edgy; however, with the right air concept it has a lovely singing timbre!
